The development Kryos was the most expensive cpu water block in the entire development history of Aqua Computers. The approach to our test methods are very stringent and the demand to attention to detail was met at every level of testing performed on the Kryos CPU water blocks during test simulation for both pre and post manufacturing processes.
70 base plates and approximately 20 injector plates were designed for the final testing phase, over 1000 were simulated in CAD environment.
Our goal was to get every ounce of performance from this series of CPU water blocks.
In addition our tests needed to stand up against our competitors.
The basic design principle is quite simple and resembles that of the cuplex series. The water is injected centrically and goes through then a microstructure in the copper base, which consists of many Rows of individual pins and not of slots. The structure of the Cuplex Kryos has 1911 individual copper pins. The structural size of the pins is 0,25x0,45mm and nearly each pin is different in its geometry.
The CPU water block Retaining mechanism was also re-engineered which was needed due to the extra weight of the water blocks also with the added springs and knurled thumb screws it helps in preventing over tightening the water block to the CPU.
The top Kryos model (Nickel plated upper section) also comes with back-plate and insulating pad.
Cuplex Kryos we offer 6 versions: The high speed versions cuplex kryos XT and cuplex kryos HF are the versions for all, which want to get the best cooling performance. They possess a nickel plated upper section from brass (XT) and/or an upper section from copper (HF), the new extravagant mounting plate inclusive. Backplate and offers thus a very beautiful appearance and the maximum achievement.
The interior structure of the cuplex kryos and the HF is identical to that of the other variants; however the distance between the in/outlet ports is now greater and will allow the use of any Fitting size (i.e. Compression Fittings as large as 1/2id).
Cuplex Kryos the PROS differs by the Backplate in pure brass implemented upper section the achievement is identical to the XT.
The Cuplex Kryos Derlin is our cost savings version. We have manufactured the upper section with Derlin and the mounting plate system is used from the Cuplex XT di model, we also ran some tests using this water block on a Intel Core i7-960 setup and test showed that a 0.3 – 0 ,5°C difference behind the other models and is a very cost effective solution.
For those who are looking for a special edition we offer the silver edition directly for the market start Cuplex Kryos the,925. The water block is plated in .925er Sterling silver. The heat conductivity is appropriate thus again for 10% over that of the other versions and thus reaches this version again for better results.
