Before there was Sunbeam, there was Lamp Electronics. In May 2002, Sidewinder
Computers introduced Lamp Electronics to the U.S. market in the form of the
first available, pre-packaged cold cathode light kits. Lamp Electronics has been
busy creating a line of new fan controllers and high-power capable rheobus
panels.
The Lamptron Fan-Atic is a military style switch baybus, capable of switching
devices up to 30 watts from Off to 7 volts or to 12 volts DC. For 12v DC selection, a Red LED is displayed,
Blue LED is shown for 7v DC selections, and devices turned off do not display an
LED light. The retail package includes five (5) long 3-pin Extension cables of
the highest quality, with thick gauge wire suitable for up to 60 watt devices. Note:
during our testing, we noted that high power devices may require a 2-3 second
power-up prep time to begin operation.
