When Sidewinder Computers introduced the Northpole from Microcool to the North American market in mid 2003, it started a revolution in more advanced chipset cooling. The Northpole along with its included ChipSink kit allowed many users to push their
front side bus even further after installation. With the success of our original
Microsink release, Sidewinder Computers now introduces an exclusive line of Silver
Microsinks!.
Our unique Silver MicroSinks are designed specifically for smaller surface mounted chips
located throughout a motherboard which tend to get hot during increased usage,
especially on overclocked systems. Installation is identical to its slightly
larger cousins, just peel off the adhesive to expose the Chomerics thermal interface material, and stick
them on various surface mounted components. These can also be grouped in sets of
4 or 9 units for larger integrated components where a low-profile design is
necessary to eliminate any clearance issues.
